Designer

SDCO Partners is a boutique graphic design firm that focuses on creating thoughtful design solutions for good people. WHO YOU ARE:

• Passionate about graphic design with a keen eye for photography, design, and typography
• Familiar with current design trends and best practices for both print and digital work
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud platforms and skilled in typography, layout, hierarchy, and branding
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who is comfortable collaborating with and taking direction senior team members
• Multi-tasker who is able to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical project time line in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• A critical thinker and creative problem solver who efficiently troubleshoots problems without compromising design standards
• Customer service focused with a personable demeanor

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support senior team members with design projects; from concept research to design implementation
• Execute on direction given by senior design team on projects such as logo/branding design, signage, packaging, digital design, and miscellaneous collateral or print pieces
• Develop innovative design solutions and contribute to the evolution of existing brand images
• Provide design guidance to junior level team members when prompted
• Conduct client meetings and presentations when prompted
• Communicate design thinking to a non-design audience
• Assist with print production and coordination of approved design work
• Manage timing and deliverables for project work
• Coordinate with vendors on the execution of multiple projects while remaining hands-on and seeing designs through production to completion
• Provide assistance to clients in a professional, clear, and friendly manner
• Work calmly and efficiently within tight deadlines and frequently shifting priorities

Business Development

WHO YOU ARE:

Is a professional with experience working in a creative agency who has a proven track record of relationship building
• Has a general knowledge of a creative agency’s process and project work flow with a strong creative mindset and understanding
• Possesses the ability to analyze markets and spot business opportunities within existing and new clients
• Can oversee a varying number of different projects and clients at different stages of development
• Is extremely detailed oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Has outstanding interpersonal and networking skills; highly diplomatic, driven, ambitious and an excellent communicator
• Is a critical thinker, collaborator and creative problem solver who efficiently troubleshoots problems without compromising standards
• Has an outgoing, friendly and assertive personality – able to build strong relationships
• Possesses a genuine interest in the design industry with the ability to contribute original and innovative development ideas

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Qualify inquiries and gauge interest/value for all new project inquiries from both new and existing clients
• Attend and lead new business introductory meetings to gain relevant client and project information. Educate new clients on the SDCO process, team, and proposal deliverables
• Build cohesive proposals, putting together presentation decks for capabilities, proposals or pitches, incorporating strategy, approach, content and estimates from discipline leads as needed
• Provide pricing guidance and implement budget and schedules in conjunction with Sr. Operations Manager
• Provide regular status reports, revisions, and modifications to pipeline opportunities
• Managing multiple pitches concurrently. Regularly communicate with qualified leads throughout the entire process until a decision is made
• Follow-up with clients and make sure all questions and concerns are addressed
• Support the wider team in managing all related administrative needs to ensure the successful acquisition of new clients and transition to the Project Coordination team

NEW LEAD GENERATION:

• Find and execute relevant RFPs that align with SDCO Partners capabilities
• Identify new opportunities and generate interest from decision making parties
• Schedule and participate in capabilities presentations and pitches to potential clients and existing customers
• Review and assess existing client relationships and be able to suggest ways to expand those relationships and involvement of SDCO Partners
• Attend relevant industry events for pursing business opportunities
• Represent SDCO Partners at networking functions, trade shows, conferences, and other industry-related events

Web Developer

WHO YOU ARE:

• A professional candidate Comfortable reading and writing the following languages: HTML5, CSS3 / SCSS / SASS, Javascript / jQuery, PHP
• Highly experienced in building sites on WordPress and Shopify
• Familiar with using SOAP and REST APIs
• Experienced in server management, cPanel, and DNS hosting
• Experienced in using remote repository and version control systems such as GitHub
• Knowledgeable of industry standards and best practices in regards to Security. Values security measures highly
• Knowledgeable of industry standards and best practices in regards to code structuring and componential design
• Comfortable supporting and mentoring junior developers
• Stays up to date on new technology and languages and implementing as necessary
• Working Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
• Knowledgeable of industry best practices in regards to UX and UI
• Comfortable working within deadlines
• Mutli-tasker who can easily prioritize in a multi-project environment

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Work closely with designers and our Project Coordinator to build client websites
• Provide assistance to clients on all things web related such as maintenance, ongoing updates and improvements, functionality troubleshooting
• Manage all SDCO hosted websites by working directly with our Liquid Web server team
• Manage renewals for SSL’s, domains, font and plug in licenses
• Communicate design and functionality parameters to the design team in a clear and consistent way
• Initiate new and improved development processes and systems
• Establish internal development standards and best practices for development team
• Work effectively as a lead member of the Development team, providing technical support to team members as needed and influencing the team’s success
• Provide assistance to clients in a professional, clear, and friendly manner
