Objective / Solution
Two lifelong friends and moms with a passion for Scandinavian design and a vision for a modern baby boutique needed a beautiful brand identity, story, and materials to bring their burgeoning business to life.
The brand design uses bold elements and details to represent the simplicity of the retail shop’s environment. The primary logo is constructed of strong, simple letterforms with subtle details.
The brand positioning focuses on the quality and safety of the highly curated collection of apparel, accessories, and gifts as well as the warmth and care the Børn team brings to the experience. Everything — from hang tags to packaging feels like it’s from a trusted friend — and inspired by a love for our littlest ones.
The primary mark — a hot air balloon — exemplifies the worldliness of the Børn Baby brand, with longitudinal lines that reference a globe. The illustration’s basket in motion symbolizes the founders’ passion for travel, while the line dividing the basket in two represents the two founders, and subtly nods to the “ø” in the logotype.
A color palette of natural, muted, Scandinavian-inspired tones is balanced by pops of warm and cool colors.
Taking care to source only from brands they believe in, the Børn Baby print design exemplifies their thoughtful, beautifully utilitarian approach.
A fully-realized print collateral and packaging design — from signage, merchandise tags, gift cards, tissue paper, and gift boxes to wrapping paper, stickers, ribbon — are meticulously crafted to inspire, celebrate, and delight.
